SaleSoft Package

Overview

This complete package written in Magic contains a suite of seven modules, each listed below along with a synopsis.

SaleSoft is designed around the needs of sales teams who use their portable computers in the office and on the road. They need instant access to all of their information even when not directly connected to the home office network. Information may be shared among groups of sales representatives and other associates. All data is synchronized with a home office server's repository for two way data synchronization. The system is quite flexible and may be customized for use in many industries.

All pricing modules support multiple currencies including conversion from one to another at any time. Price lists support 4 levels of pricing to allow for different levels of fixed discounts, as well as local and foreign currency support.

Several modules have built in linkages to Microsoft® Word. This allows users to create and organizing documents by Contact, Quote, or Sales Orders. User definable Word templates allow customized document creation with populated data from SaleSoft. Mail Merge data source lists may be built using the Contact Filter module.

Bookmarks are supported in the main modules which allows users to keep track of what they are currently working on.

Using built in search and filter features even very large databases are easily managed.

Various built in reports allow users to print or fax directly from SaleSoft, or with optional third party software, such as Pervasive Software's Crystal Reports, Adhoc Query and reporting features may be added.

Contact Manager

The Contact Manager stores names, addresses, phone numbers, and notes about the people and companies that you do business with.  This information can be sorted, printed, transferred to quotes and letters, and used to generate mailing labels or other mail merge documents. Contacts may be grouped by the company or office they are associated with or listed individually.

Quote Manager

The Quote Manager lets you build a quote by picking items from a parts list.  It automatically calculates extended prices and totals and provides a detailed description of each item in the quote.  Quotes can be created directly, copied from other quotes, or generated from templates.

Sales Order Manager

The Sales Order Manager lets you create, modify, and print sales orders.  Sales orders can be created directly or generated from quotes or quote templates.  When a quote is converted to a sales order, all the information associated with the quote is transferred to the sales order, and the quote is removed from the active quote list.

Project Tracker

The Project Tracker keeps a list of projects and stores information that helps you track a project through its design, specifying, and bidding phases.  It provides a place to record the names of key contacts and quotes associated with the project.   The Project Tracker is also used to create project reference lists from projects that have been linked to sales orders.

Follow-up Calendar

The Follow-up Calendar displays reminders of follow-ups scheduled in the Contact Manager, Quote Manager, Sales Order Manager, or Project Tracker.  By clicking on a reminder, you can quickly jump to a contact, quote, sales order, or project record to review it before making the follow-up call.

Price List

The Price List provides a quick access to prices and descriptions for any part. Lists are organized by user specified groupings. Individual items may have fixed or optional accessories.

Utility Manager

The Utility Manager provides a way to keep information current and complete using database synchronization. System security controls user access to maintenance programs for updating Price Lists and various field picklists. Other maintenance programs are available here to customize SaleSoft.
